We make use of the Uniform server to develop our websites locally. Once the customer has reviewed the website on his local PC and we have made any changes required, we then upload the final version of the website to the server.
Melaina Gross, from Cantaloupe web design and email marketing contributed this tutorial.
If you have developed your Joomla site on your local pc using the Uniform server then this guide will provide some help on how to move your website from your local machine to the server.
HINT: Don't install Joomla through CPANEL (if you are on a host offering Cpanel as the control panel, with the Fantastico installer) as then you will have to go and remove all the sample data.
