Standard - R57/m (VAT Incl)

Cheap Web Hosting Package

This Standard Package is suitable for a Personal or Hobby site..
or to test the market for a new product or possible online business (how does one do that? Why don't you subscribe to our 5 day mini email course on selecting the right product by clicking here and find out how to avoid making costly mistakes in setting up your online business)

It can also be suitable for a brochure type site, where you merely want to create an internet prescence for your company with the most basic of information. Of course we do not recommend that you set up this type of site and then stop. You can set up your brochure type site to start with, but we strongly recommend that you build on top of that by adding content and various useful customer contact tools in order to expand your site.

How to create your site:
This package is sold on the understanding that  you create and maintain your own website. There are various tools available on the market to do this.

1. The first option is to use a tool like MS Frontpage or Dreamweaver to create your site. This will probably be the quickest and easiest to learn to start with if you have no knowledge of creating web pages. You will create your website on your own PC and then upload it to your website. (How do I do that? Learn more about using FTP - the File Transfer Protocol that will enable you to move files between your PC and your website). Even if you select to go for this option, we will throw in a standard email contact form that you can easily add in to your Frontpage site. This form can capture basic information from a visitor and email it to you.

2. The second option is to use one of our three recommended built-in tools that come with all our hosting packages. The easiest to learn is probably Wordpress. This is a free tool that was originally designed for Blogging but that is also suitable for setting up a small website, especially a personal or hobby site. You can also use this for setting up a basic company brochure site.

3. The third option is to use Soholaunch, our free tool to create your own website. It is very powerful with built-in functionality such as newsletters, contact forms, photo galleries and even a shopping cart. It does have a steeper learning curve.

4. You can also use Joomla (previously known as Mambo), a free and powerful content management system (CMS). A content management system lets you easily add new content to your website. Joomla! is very powerful, but also it does have a steep learning curve!

We offer up to 5 emails with this package for R57 per month (VAT Incl). If you would like to add more emails, you are welcome to do so at an additional R15 per email per month.
